Twin-engine low-wing commercial aircraft developed from the Piper Cherokee Six. The prototype was actually a three-engine aircraft. With twin engines it was called the Twin Six and it was the variant that came to be built in series production.

After various modifications and improvements, it was renamed Seneca.

The model was equipped with retractable landing gear and engines with counter-rotating and in the event of engine failure, feather options for the propellers.

Piper Seneca has evolved over the years and is available in five main variants called Seneca I -V, the latter of which is still in production.

The aircraft in the museum has a turbo charged Continental engine, is in airworthy condition and came to Sweden in 1977.
